Perfumes may be the scent of choice for most, but more and more people are now converting to the more hip, more casual, and more refreshing alternative in the form – or the bottle! - of designer colognes.
Known to be a lot milder than perfumes, it is this lesser potency that makes designer colognes so inviting. While perfumes are multi-layered (that is to say, comprised of various fragrances to create one distinct scent), designer colognes are generally single-scented. This makes cologne the perfect choice for those who are sensitive to certain ingredients, or those that crave the simpler things in life.
You can take your pick between spray-on, or splash colognes. Spray-ons generally sport the ever familiar atomizer for easier application. Do go easy on the spritzing, though, lest your designer cologne turns into a designer disaster. Splash colognes contain more alcohol and water, and can therefore be used more liberally, so knock yourself out. As a plus, a cooling effect on the skin can be enjoyed by 'splashing' out, thanks to its predominantly alcohol content.
